Visit us at www.akastudioproductions.com We are excited to announce that our first venture will be producing an EP for the hit comic book rock musical GAY BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN. Book by: Billy Butler and Dane Leeman. Music and lyrics by: Billy Butler (Winner of 8 Spotlight Awards including Best Musical, Best Original Script and People's Choice, Listed with Next to Normal as TalkinBroadway.com's list of Top Ten Cast Albums of 2009, and NYMF Top Selection)Read what people are saying:“A mighty fine musical, superbly delivered, and artfully built. But what “Gay Bride” has first and foremost is a killer score by Butler. Tunes that rock, really rock and those that lament, steal your heart. This is tons of fun, outstanding music, exceptional performances and should not be missed. Worth the price of the ticket; in fact buy two!”Jeanné McCartin · The Portsmouth Herald“Gay Bride of Frankenstein sometimes plays like Scooby-Doo meets The Rocky Horror Picture Show as it puts a modern-day lesbian spin on an old horror movie standard. The girl-girl love story, depicted in earnest, provides a welcome emotional hook that focuses the show and distinguishes it in its camp horror musical subgenre.”Patrick Lee · Theatremania.com“It hilariously sends up all the conventions of teen horror films, giving the protagonists free reign to explore their sexuality before it’s wrapped up in a frantic finale that means you’ll never think of Shaggy and the Wolfman in the same way again! Hopefully we’ll see this fun show in a full production in New York and London before too long. But you heard about it here first!”Phil Willmott · Attitude (UK’s Largest Gay Magazine)For more information see CONTACT
